Hello everyone,
my last post is dated october 25th, well, what happened in these last months?
Between work and personal goings-on, many things! :-)
In December I released my first e-commerce (online store) as a freelance, which I’m very proud of, building an e-commerce is not a job for everyone, and the client was the UK band Doom.
The graphic design is linear and minimal, but on their request I had to keep the same style of their website which has been previously developed by themselves.
Anyway, you can visit the shop here: Doom – Online Shop, and have a look by yourself!
In the “Contact us” page you can find the links to their website and facebook page.
Also, I’ve worked on the restyling of the logo for a Tuscan company called “NET Studio”, which was pretty interesting! Their request was to keep the same line and idea of the old one in order to maintain continuity.
So I redesigned the writing “NET”, more linear and less cartoony and added a glass sfere using the same grey I used for the word “studio” of which I changed the font, making it more informal and younger-looking. This creates a nice contrast with the word “NET”, that has become more elegant.
You can see both in my “Logos” gallery.
In the “Corporate” gallery I also added a brochure (I love the vintage style I had to use) I designed for a typographer and I still have to publish the design made for a t-shirt!
I have so many ideas that sometimes I don’t know how to keep them! :-)
Talking about ideas, I finally published one of my personal artwork I’ve been working on. It’s entitled “Aidonhee” which is also the name I gave to the subject.
Aidonhee (for my foreigner friends the pronunciation is iedonhee :-) ), is one of the Ancients, powerful entities, guardians and defenders of the Nature, that try to keep Equilibrium (and not without failure from time to time).
Everything is hand-drawn apart from the background texture and the ivy!
It’s a completely different style from my own, but I wanted to do something different, vaguely inspired by Art Noveau and Psychedelic Art (and for sure by tons of books and films).
This is the first of, hopefully, a series of projects I have on my mind.
If you’ve visited my photogalleries in these last weeks, you may have noticed I added new pictures… gosh in almost all my galleries!
Yes, this one has been a quite productive period, as during the Christmas time I took my first proper holiday since… oh I don’t even remember the last time I was on holiday! And that gave me the opportunity of visiting more places and playing with my new lenses and filters for my camera! Happy me and thanks to all the people who made this Christmas a very special one (you know who you are!) :-)
Ok, let’s get back to the subject, if you haven’t seen the new photos yet, as usual, you can find them here.
There will be many news in the next weeks, two other shops I’m developing will be released, two websites and some designs as well, so keep on checking from time to time!
See you soon folks!
